Dr. Joi Freemont
“Miss Doctor Lady”
An Atlanta native, Dr. Freemont attended Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. She is a graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and has over twenty-six years of experience practicing dentistry in the Atlanta area. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997.
She is member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Sleep and Breathing Academy, Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals, International Association of Orthodontics, and the American Orthodontic Society. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., and is the chairperson of the board of directors for the James M. & Erma T. Freemont Foundation. She is the first African-American woman to become a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine - the highest level of education that one can achieve in the field of dental sleep medicine.
With a strong desire to continue in providing the exceptional services that she offers, Dr. Freemont travels frequently across the country to continuing education courses, seminars and symposiums to learn new techniques in an effort to offer the most comprehensive, up-to-date treatment to her patients.
She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling with her husband Christopher.
